Local news station, Channel 6 from Nederland TX, has a monthly segment called Pay It Forward.  Community members write into the station and nominate someone they feel deserves the award from evidence of what the recipient has done within the community to earn the award.

An employee of Intrepid USA Nederland, Robin Valdez LVN, was nominated by a community member and selected to win the Pay It forward award.  The Channel 6 news crew came and interviewed Robin Valdez at Intrepid and presented the award. The footage will be run this Thursday July 28th, 2016 on Channel 6.

Nomination letter sent:

I WOULD LIKE TO NOMINATE ROBIN FOR THIS AWARD. ROBIN IS ONE OF THE MOST SELFLESS, CARING PEOPLE I KNOW.

DURING THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS WE HAVE HAD MANY FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS WHO HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY LIFE CHANGING ILLNESSES (CANCER). ROBIN HAS STEPPED UP FOR EACH OF THESE PEOPLE INCLUDING SOME IN MY OWN FAMILY. SHE WORKS TIRELESSLY TO PUT TOGETHER BENEFITS TO HELP MAKE THEIR FINANCIAL BURDEN A LITTLE LESS. UNFORTUNATELY, ROBIN HAS JUST BEEN DIAGNOSED HERSELF WITH A VERY SERIOUS MEDICAL CONDITION. SHE'S A TROOPER AND I KNOW SHE WILL GET THROUGH IT. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE HER RECEIVE THIS PAY IT FORWARD REWARD BECAUSE I TRULY BELIEVE SHE DESERVES IT! I THANK YOU,

TRACY REAUX

"Robin is an excellent representative of the caring, kind hearted employee that makes Intrepid USA Nederland great. Her patients love her and so do we." -Stephanie Baker RN, BSN Administrator

Thanks again to everyone that helped-with donations-money-food-time-etc.

GOOOOOO INTREPID!

SAME TIME NEXT YEAR!  IT WILL BE OUR 10TH ANNUAL – SO WE GOT TO GO BIG!
