A time to give thanks…

Posted: Thursday, November 21, 2013

Intrepid USA Healthcare Services staff is thankful every day for the opportunity to provide quality nursing and therapy services to people in the comfort of their own home.  We realize how fortunate we are to touch the lives of so many people on a daily basis but we want to do more as the holiday season approaches.

Thanksgiving is the time of year that we feast with friends and family and give thanks for the blessings that have been bestowed upon us.  Unfortunately though, many families in our communities will not be able to enjoy the feast that is raditionally associated with the Thanksgiving Holiday.  Many of these families do not have enough to eat day-to-day.

We recognize this need and pledged to make this Thanksgiving Holiday better for families in our community who do not have enough to eat. Intrepid USA Healthcare Services Corporate Service Center recently completed their seventh annual campaign for the “Thanksgiving Tree”.  The Thanksgiving Tree is a wonderful way to give back to our community and alleviate hunger amongst our neighbors.  The program provides an opportunity to work as a team, accomplish goals and receive the satisfaction that comes from assisting others.  This year our Corporate Service Center was able to provide meals for 80 families.

Nederland, TX Proclamation - National Home Care Month

Posted: Wednesday, December 7, 2011

Whereas, home care services provide high quality and compassionate health care services to those in need, especially at times of community or personal health care crisis; and

Whereas, home care is the most preferred method of health care delivery among aged, disabled, and ill individuals eager to live independently in their own homes as long as they possibly can; and

Whereas, home care services allows families to stay together, and provide for greater health, dignity and comfort in our communities; and

Whereas, home care in the United States is a growing alternative to hospitalization or other institution-based forms of health care for acute and chronic illnesses, providing care to millions of Americans each year; and

Whereas, thousands of everyday heroes such as home care nurses, therapists and aides work tirelessly to provide professional health and palliative care and support to millions of Americans in need of quality health services; and

Whereas, these dedicated home care professionals and volunteers form a support network that continues to play a vital role in health care delivery for our nation's aged, disabled and ill; and

Whereas, Intrepid USA Healthcare Services, the National Association for Home Care & Hospice, and thousands of home care agencies across the United States have declared the month of November 2011 as National Home Care Month and are calling on all Americans to observe these occasions with appropriate ceremonies and activities;

Now, therefore, be it resolved that I, Dick Nugent, Mayor, do hereby proclaim November 2011 as NATIONAL HOME CARE MONTH in the city/state ofNederland,TX and encourage the support and participation of all citizens in learning more about the home care and hospice concepts of care for the aged, disabled, and ill.
